ABOUT JIAS

The Conferences for Researchers in Solidarity Learning and Service have been organized by CLAYSS since 2004, having held three meetings (2004, 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2019) that are integrated into the agenda of the International Week of Service Learning.
Its objective is focused on contributing to its theoretical foundation, generating meeting and exchange instances between researchers and giving visibility to the experiences that are carried out in the different educational fields.

Since 2012 they have formed a space for academic-scientific exchange CLAYSS-Red Iberoamericana de Aprendizaje-Servicio. In this space, two impact publications have been made and the authors of the best papers have been invited to publish their research in the RIDAS Journal and in the International Association for Research on Service-learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE).

The lines of work are focused on: Discussions and theoretical contributions to the definition of “solidarity service-learning” in the Ibero-American context; Monitoring and evaluation of institutional programs and service-learning practices and Case studies and systematization of service-learning programs and practices.
