A good service-learning project encourages meaningful and holistic learning, provides opportunities for students to be protagonists and fosters citizen participation. In addition, it contributes to improving the quality of life of a community by strengthening networks between educational institutions, civil society organisations and governments. A transformative service-learning project is an agenda shared by different participants who put themselves at the service of the common good. Students and community members are protagonists in this journey: from motivation and diagnosis to implementation and evaluation. Communication, reflection, reciprocity in the exchange of knowledge and horizontal partnerships help forge social bonds of solidarity. In this course, we invite you to reflect with Spanish-speaking colleagues on the keys to a good service-learning project, learn about transformative experiences and build the foundations required to develop a project with your students and the community.
