The sixteenth edition of the Presidential Award “Solidarity Schools”, organised by the Ministry of Education of Argentina, convened its finalists on 10th October at the Palacio Sarmiento building in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
A total of 14 institutions throughout the country, which had projects distinguished by the jury, met at the Palacio Sarmiento building in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to share experiences, get to know each other and, finally, receive the awards. Nieves Tapia, director of CLAYSS, and Enrique Ochoa, executive director of CLAYSS, attended the event along with educators, students and representatives of these schools from all levels.
The Ministry awarded 6 first prizes, 5 second prizes and 3 honourable mentions. We congratulate all those who participated in the call for submissions: a total of 900 projects throughout Argentina.
These experiences inspire us to continue guiding and disseminating service-learning, strengthening links and weaving networks.
