A network continuing to grow in membership and collaborative work.
REDIBAS, the Ibero-American Service-Learning Network, gathered more than 20 representatives in person in Buenos Aires this year, alongside 16 members who joined via Zoom from their respective countries, to share, discuss and review the work carried out over recent months. National, regional and international solidarity service-learning networks shared experiences, joint projects and updates from participating countries, including Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, the USA, Spain and Mexico.
The meeting was chaired and coordinated by María Nieves Tapia (founder and director of CLAYSS), Luz Avruj (SSL Network Coordinator of CLAYSS), and Enrique Ochoa (executive director of CLAYSS), with special participation of Amy Meuers, CEO of the National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC), who travelled to Buenos Aires specifically to join in the week’s events.
To conclude, the Network outlined its next steps, and announced the upcoming publication of a book detailing the 20-year history of a network that has made —and still makes— history while providing opportunities for connection and growth for all those who have joined and continue to this day.
