CLAYSS present at the Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAIE)

Convened by the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE), the Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAEI) is the continental forum of excellence that brings together the main actors and decision-makers related to the internationalization of higher education in the Americas to strengthen contacts, exchange experiences, and chart the future of the academic cooperation in the region.

The CAEI is celebrated every two years in a different host country in alliance with national, regional and international higher education institutions and organizations, offering a platform from which emerging challenges and trends, as well as good practices, are made known related to international education in the continent. This year, the meeting was in Las Vegas, Nevada, hosted by the College of Southern Nevada, the University of Nevada and the Truckee Meadows Community College.

Enrique Ochoa, executive director of CLAYSS, was a panelist in the session: “The Power of Partnerships: Catalyzing Multi Stakeholder Engagement for Global Impact”; he highlighted CLAYSS’s work in promoting service-learning (SL) in the region and the world, and explained the coordination between the several national and international SL networks that CLAYSS supports and guides.
We celebrate the work shared and the possibility of discussing it together with colleagues from all over the world.
