The Relational Sustainability International Congress was held simultaneously on 18th-20th October at the Universidad de Córdoba (Argentina) and in Castel Gandolfo (Italy), with online participants from other countries. It brought together specialists not only in environmental sciences but also from a wide range of disciplines. The Congress aimed to contribute to a dialogue that allows cooperation between all of them towards the goal of protecting the life of our planet, emphasizing the relationships that enable us to achieve sustainability.
On 18th October, Dr. Ing. Agr. María Alejandra Herrero, former professor and researcher on relations between the environment and animal production at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina), and former president of CLAYSS, participated in the plenary panel on Relational Sustainability from different scientific perspectives, and Prof. Nieves Tapia, director of CLAYSS, spoke about the importance of scientific policies in this field. In addition, Prof. Nieves Tapia, director of CLAYSS, emphasized the importance of children, adolescents and young people as protagonists in these processes, presenting some concrete experiences of solidarity service-learning.
CLAYSS also offered a workshop, coordinated by Lic. Graciela del Campo and Mónica de la Fuente.
