Our executive director, Enrique Ochoa, will attend the REDIBAS, the Ibero-American Service-Learning Network, meeting held at the end of March in the United States.
CLAYSS and NYLC are part of the network’s executive secretariat and this meeting will take place during the National Service-Learning Conference in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA.
Two REDIBAS meetings are held each year, one in March and the other in August, during our International Solidarity Service-Learning Conference in Buenos Aires.
Members from various Ibero-America countries, who have been working in service-learning and continuously promoting this approach for many years, will participate.
While the network celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025, several regional and national SSL networks have recently been established, with representation at this meeting, either in person or virtually.
Enrique Ochoa will participate in the National Conference as a speaker on ‘Evaluation, Impact and Professional Development in Service-Learning,’ discussing the importance of teaching science and citizenship together. He will also present CLAYSS’ work and experiences from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
