Global Diploma in Solidarity Service-Learning in Higher Education Launched in September

A global and intercultural training programme to explore, exchange ideas and jointly develop new forms of university community engagement.

Educators, administrators and practitioners from Catholic higher education institutions across the Americas, Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania began a new journey of training, dialogue and collaboration in September with the presentation of the Global Diploma in Solidarity Service-Learning in Higher Education.

Launched jointly by the Uniservitate Network and CLAYSS, the Diploma is a postgraduate training programme designed to explore the solidarity service-learning approach in greater depth and harness its potential to strengthen social transformation within higher education.

This inaugural cohort of the Global Diploma in Solidarity Service-Learning (SSL) was introduced as a specialized training programme for member institutions of the Uniservitate Network for Catholic Higher Education. Building on seven years of successful joint collaboration, CLAYSS offers a programme that delves deeper into the core concepts produced and critical reflection, equipping participants with practical resources and future pathways. Looking ahead, CLAYSS will continue working to expand the Global Diploma to wider audiences for future cohorts.
