Enrique Ochoa
Executive Director
Born in 1982, his interest in political and social issues developed during his secondary education: he participated in solidarity initiatives, carried out voluntary service in civil society organizations and took on a leadership role in the Students’ Union.
He holds a Degree in Political Science (Universidad de Buenos Aires) and a Postgraduate Degree in International Relations and Negotiations (Universidad de San Andrés and FLACSO Argentina). Furthering his academic credentials, he studied at the Università di Bologna (Office in Buenos Aires) and was awarded a scholarship to attend the “Leadership, Democracy and Social Development” training programme for young Latin American leaders by the Inter-American Development Bank (Washington D.C. headquarters).
Regarding his professional experience, he brings 15 years of experience as a consultant to the Argentine Ministry of Education, where he was instrumental in specifically promoting service-learning projects. In addition, he has served as an external consultant on the institutionalization of service-learning across various Latin American universities.
He is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a guest lecturer in various chairs at both state and private universities. Previously, he has been a lecturer for the seminar on service-learning in the Advanced Studies Programme in Social Sciences at CIEE-FLACSO.
Since CLAYSS was established, he has been responsible for its international relations, which involve coordinating training activities and monitoring higher education institutions. Moreover, since 2016, he serves as CLAYSS’ Executive Director, coordinating its areas and programmes and reporting directly to the Board of Directors to ensure the organizations meet its goals and objectives.
