Pope Francis, who embraced us with his gaze, is gone. He was a living example of humility, dialogue and commitment to those who need it most.
Part of the CLAYSS team, especially those working in the Universitate global programme, had the privilege to be with him and introduce him to solidarity educators and young people worldwide. We could listen closely to his message and were touched by his support for our work, our journey by the hands of solidarity service-learning.
He taught us that faith is lived with humility, and educating is also an act of love.
CLAYSS thanks Pope Francis for his example, his mark and his legacy.
As promised last time we visited him in Rome, we will continue “stirring things up”.
