Enrique Ochoa addressed nearly 300 attendees.
On 7th January, UDLA Chile hosted the seminar “A+S y compromiso comunitario en la educación superior [A+S and Community Engagement in Higher Education]“. On this occasion, CLAYSS Executive Director, Enrique Ochoa, delivered a keynote speech and participated in a panel discussion alongside Berta Paz, founder and president of the Asociación Española de Aprendizaje-Servicio Universitario (Spanish Association for Service-Learning at University).
The event was a significant success, bringing together more than 80 in-person attendees and nearly 200 online participants. This large audience highlights the growing interest of the Ibero-American scholars in establishing solidarity service-learning as a key pedagogy for social transformation.
In the afternoon, Enrique Ochoa joined Berta Paz, who led a specialized workshop for the UDLA faculty, based on providing resources to develop and institutionalize service-learning innitiatives within the university.
CLAYSS would like to thank the Universidad de las Américas for the invitation. We also celebrate such opportunities for cooperation to strengthen solidarity-based education throughout the region.
