CLAYSS is pleased to announce that our director and founder, Nieves Tapia, has been distinguished with the 2023 Distinguished Career Award from IARSLCE (International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement).
The IARSLCE Distinguished Career Award acknowledges and celebrates intellectual leadership through research work with a broad and deep impact on the study or practice of service-learning and community engagement, including the communities, cultures, and systems within which it is undertaken. In recognition of exemplary contributions through research on service-learning and community engagement, IARSLCE honours those whose research contributes significantly to understanding and advancing community engagement, across all approaches and all educational sectors.
This recognition of Nieves Tapia’s career highlights the work and multiple contributions our director has made through her research on service-learning for over 30 years.
