{"id":9485,"date":"2026-10-30T11:32:57","date_gmt":"2026-10-30T14:32:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clayss.org\/?p=9485"},"modified":"2026-10-30T11:33:28","modified_gmt":"2026-10-30T14:33:28","slug":"education-in-motion-14th-solidarity-youth-meeting-and-open-school-day-for-the-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clayss.org\/en\/education-in-motion-14th-solidarity-youth-meeting-and-open-school-day-for-the-community\/","title":{"rendered":"Education in Motion: 14th Solidarity Youth Meeting and Open School Day for the Community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>School No. 4-084, Libertador Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar, brought together over 10 institutions for an event on service-learning, innovation, and sustainable development.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, <strong>16th October, School No. 4-084, Libertador Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar<\/strong>, hosted the <strong>14th Solidarity Youth Meeting and Open School Day for the Community<\/strong> under the theme <strong>&#8220;Education in Motion&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLAYSS<\/strong> participated in the gathering, which promotes the concept that a community-engaged school is vital to sustainable development. The school\u2019s students and teachers, led by Headmistress Prof. Paula Massoni, proved that a person\u2019s life plan gains deeper meaning when that person actively contributes to the community\u2019s well-being. &#8220;The future is today\u2026 The future of education is solidarity. Today, we were a live network of learning schools that embodies the spirit of over 600 student leaders,&#8221; stated Massoni.<\/p>\n<p>Guided by the motto &#8220;Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime&#8221;, the event featured leading schools from the <strong>Sustainable Schools Network <\/strong>committed to strategic management with social and environmental engagement.<\/p>\n<p>The event included recognition awards for educators from various disciplines, hands-on workshops, a project fair, and an opening panel on the environment led by specialists and <strong>Youth4Climate (Y4C)<\/strong>. Representing CLAYSS as part of the mentoring team, <strong>Iris Borges<\/strong> evaluated student initiatives and provided feedback, highlighting more than a decade of continuity for a programme that inspires young people to transform their surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, students held a video conference with members of the <strong>Universidad Carolina de El Saltillo (Mexico)<\/strong> \u2014a collaboration sparked during the <strong>29th International Solidarity Service-Learning Conference in Buenos Aires<\/strong>.
