On Saturday, 9th May, the professional development workshop “PBL + Service-Learning” <\/strong>was held for faculty members of the Biomechanics and Functional Anatomy Chair<\/strong>. This session was tailored for the Bachelor\u2019s Degree Programme in Physical Therapy and Physical Medicine at the School of Medical Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (UBA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Prof. Graciela del Campo<\/strong>, a trainer with the CLAYSS team, led the workshop as part of efforts to provide training and reinforce innovative educational experiences related to solidarity service-learning.<\/p>\n Twenty members of the department\u2014including faculty members, lab supervisors, tutors, teaching assistants, and students\u2014gathered in Classroom 8 on the basement level of the School of Medicine throughout the morning. As in previous years, Dr. Cristina Oleari<\/strong>, led a discussion on the contributions of the SSL approach to the mandatory annual PBL practical work carried out by second-year Kinesiology undergraduates. Additionally, participants made progress on developing a satisfaction assessment tool for the beneficiaries of community-based initiatives.<\/p>\n Dr. Oleari, full professor of the organizing chair, highlighted the institutional support and guidance provided by CLAYSS in making this space for professional development and pedagogical reflection possible.<\/p>\n The photo features the students participating in the workshop.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
