The CLAYSS Team Continues to Work on the Dissemination of Service-Learning Throughout the World

On 6th December, our director and founder, María Nieves Tapia, delivered a lecture for those who participated in the 2ª Jornada de Innovación en Educación Veterinaria [2nd Day-conference of Innovation in Veterinary Education] (https://afevet.cl/jiev2023/, website in Spanish) hosted by AFEVET (the Association of Faculties and Schools of Veterinary Sciences in Chile). This free meeting, open to all those interested in the subject, was designed for professionals and academics to reflect on and share educational experiences on good practices in university teaching.

On the same day, our Uniservitate programme coordinator, María Rosa Tapia, participated in the webinar “Engagement with Civil Society – experience from Latin America” by Magna Charta Universitatum (https://www.magna-charta.org/) in collaboration with la Cooperación Global para la Misión Democrática de la Educación Superior [the Global Cooperation for the Democratic Mission of Higher Education].

This webinar provides valuable insights into the experiences of Latin American universities engaged with their communities, focusing on “How can higher education institutions contribute to democratic development through greater engagement with civil society?”.
