CLAYSS met with the 15 young people participating in the “Young Ambassadors” programme launched by the Secretariat of Youth of the State of Querétaro, Mexico, to promote youth leadership.
During their visit to Buenos Aires in April, the group of young people spoke with Luz Avruj, Coordinator of Institutional Relations and Networks, and Florencia Iribarne, in charge of Resource Mobilization, both from CLAYSS.
During the meeting, the young people shared their projects, which were selected after a year of intense work in their communities and with other young people. They also exchanged reflections on the challenges they face when leading this type of initiative with social effect. Many of them were familiar with solidarity service-learning, and some were also educators already working on community-based educational projects.
It was an enriching and stimulating meeting that continued the process of networking with governmental bodies in different countries.
