On Thursday 18th September, our director Nieves Tapia offered training for local government officials from different regions of Spain, organized by the Spanish Service-Learning Network. Almost 70 employees participated in the online mode, and 11 in the face-to-face session.
It is part of a continuous training programme run by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP, Spanish acronym).
The meeting, entitled El Aprendizaje-Servicio (APS) como herramienta para avanzar en los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible [Service-Learning as a Means to Advance in Sustainable Development Goals], included presentations by specialists such as Francisco Barea (president of REDAPS), Nieves Tapia and Arantzazu Martínez Odria. There were also presentations and panels on experiences of promoting service-learning at the municipal level, given by councillors, municipal authorities and technical teams from various cities.
