The seeds of service-learning that sprout

On Tuesday, 10th October, the II Service-learning Congress of the Educational Centres of the Mercedarian Catholic Order in Argentina was held in Ranelagh, a city in the province of Buenos Aires.

Ten years ago, during a meeting of the Mercedarian schools, part of the CLAYSS team provided a training workshop for their teachers. It was the starting point for developing educational activities with community engagement in every school of the Order.

In this new meeting, it was possible to appreciate the commitment and growth of the service-learning pedagogy in the dozens of projects these schools are developing today. We celebrate their journey and the fruit of their labour from years ago. We also hope to continue guiding new and future projects.
